DIY SOS

Introduction
We are incredibly proud to be involved in DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland once again this July.
This year’s project, based in Bray, Co. Wicklow, is centred around supporting Hannah Leonard and her family, a story that truly puts life into perspective.
About the Project
At Sycamore Construction, we have always believed that building goes beyond bricks and mortar. It’s about creating spaces that genuinely improve everyday life, especially for those who need it most.
The upcoming DIY SOS build will see a community come together to deliver a home that is safe, accessible, and supportive of Hannah’s ongoing care needs. Projects like this highlight the power of collaboration, generosity, and shared purpose.
Build Dates
The Bray build is scheduled to take place from:
Tuesday 14th July – Thursday 23rd July

Our Involvement
Having previously been part of DIY SOS in 2020, this project holds a special place for our team.
Our first experience showed us the true impact of community-led building. Not just in the finished home, but in the people, the atmosphere, and the collective effort behind it. Volunteers, suppliers, and tradespeople all came together with one goal: to help a family in need.
To be involved again means a great deal to us, and we are honoured to play even a small part alongside such an incredible team and wider community.
Projects like DIY SOS remind us why we do what we do.
It’s not just about construction — it’s about people, community, and making a real difference where it matters most.
